Hogwarts Legacy developer Avalanche Software has revealed that it is adding official PC modding support to the game. The Harry Potter RPG is getting a free patch that will introduce an in-game mod manager and creation tool to the game, with a collection of mods available as soon as the update goes live. Players will be able to easily create, share, and download mods from anyone.
Hogwarts Legacy mods are already a big part of the experience for PC players, but Avalanche Software is about to make them even more approachable. A brand new mod manager and creation kit are coming to the RPG, entirely for free, allowing your imagination to run wild. Avalanche also notes that Hogwarts Legacy’s new hub will launch with some mods on day one, so you’ll be able to download them straight away.

If you want to make some Hogwarts Legacy mods yourself, an official creator kit is being added to the Epic Games Store for free. You can then upload these creations directly into the Hogwarts Legacy in-game mod manager, where any PC player can easily find and install them. Avalanche Software teases that mod makers can create everything from new hairstyles to cosmetics, all the way up to gigantic dungeons and quests.
Several mods will also be available as soon as official PC support begins. Avalanche Software has worked with creators to bring players new brooms, hairstyles, clothes, side quests, and even an endless dungeon experience.
Avalanche Software is adding official PC modding support to Hogwarts Legacy on Thursday January 30.
