Path of Exile 2, developed by Grinding Gear Games, is the highly anticipated sequel to the popular action role-playing game, Path of Exile. Set to launch in early access on December 6, 2024, the game promises to expand upon its predecessor’s mechanics and introduce new features. Players will return to the dark and gritty world of Wraeclast, where they will face new challenges, explore diverse biomes, and engage in complex combat systems. The game will be available on multiple platforms, including PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
One of the significant changes in Path of Exile 2 is the revamped skill gem system, which no longer requires gems to be socketed into gear to be functional. This allows for greater flexibility in character builds and encourages experimentation with different skill combinations. Additionally, the game introduces new character classes, each with unique abilities and playstyles, as well as an in-depth equipment system that includes new weapon types and supplementary items. The endgame content has also been expanded, featuring various types of progression and challenging bosses to test players’ skills.
